Builders Fred Kimball and Rick Landis
have been building homes in the Port Townsend
area for more than 30 years.
Since 1979, Rick's Inside Out Construction has been building light commercial structures and remodeling homes, many of them old Victorians. Fred's Kimball Woodworks has been creating custom homes and fine cabinetry since 1989.
In the late 1990s, Rick and Fred joined forces. Their first adventure together — the remodel of an old Victorian home — earned them a prestigious Jefferson County Historical Society Preservation Award.
Architect Ross Chapin is known for his designs of wonderfully scaled and richly detailed buildings and gardens. The current focus of Chapin's work is custom residential design and clustered home development. . .such as The Neighborhood of Umatilla Hill and Spring Valley Cottages. He has repeatedly won Sunset Magazine's Western Home Award; his projects are featured in numerous books and national magazines.
Fred is the 2007 president of the Jefferson County Home Builders Association. For five years, he taught residential framing in a JCHBA class, offered through Peninsula College. He was nominated as the Building Industry Association of Washington's Builder of the Year for 2006.
